Description

Amano shrimp are popular, larger-than-average dwarf shrimp known for their effectiveness at eating algae and a translucent body with a gray or brown tint and a row of dotted or dashed lines along the sides. Females are typically larger than males and have dashes, while males have dots. These peaceful, omnivorous shrimp are excellent tank cleaners and scavengers, requiring a mixed diet of algae, biofilm, and supplemental foods. They are hardy but require stable water parameters, including a temperature range of 20-26°C and a pH between 6 and 8.
