Description
Blue Shrimp are freshwater, dwarf shrimp in the Neocaridina davidi species, known for their peaceful nature, blue coloration, and role as aquarium cleaners. Key features include their max size of about 3 cm (1.2 inches), a preference for stable parameters (temp 15-28°C, pH 6-8), and their diet of algae and specialized foods. They breed easily in community tanks but should be kept with other Neocaridina or small, peaceful tankmates and require a slow acclimation process.
A striking, deep blue, ranging from light to navy blue, sometimes with white or translucent markings.
They grow to a maximum size of approximately 3 cm (about 1.2 inches), with females typically being slightly larger than males.
