Orange Shrimp are peaceful, freshwater aquarium dwarf shrimp, typically Neocaridina davidi var. Orange varieties like Orange Sakura or Orange Rili, known for their bright orange colour and effective scavenging of algae and waste.

Appearance: A striking, bright orange color that covers the body, legs, and antennae.

Size: Adults typically grow to about 1 to 1.5 inches (2.5 to 3.8 cm) in length.

Nature: Peaceful, active, and good scavengers, helping to clean algae and waste from the aquarium.

Breeding: They are prolific breeders and will continuously replenish their population.

Habitat & Care

Tank Size:

A minimum of 2 gallons is recommended for a single shrimp.

Water Parameters:Temperature: 18.3–29.4°C (65–85°F).

pH: Can adapt to hard or soft water, but a pH of 6.5–7.5 is generally suitable.

GH: A gH of at least 8 is good for maintaining bright colours.

Filtration:

Standard freshwater aquarium filters are fine, but ensure the intake is covered to prevent shrimp from being sucked in.

Lighting & Substrate:

Lower intensity lighting and dark substrate help to enhance their coloration.

Tank Mates & Environment

Tank Mates: Peaceful shrimp are compatible with all types of tank mates.

Aquarium Setup: Provide driftwood, plants, and rocks for hiding places.
