Description
Red Root Floaters (Phyllanthus fluitans) are floating aquatic plants characterized by their round, heart-shaped green leaves that turn red under high light and vibrant red, feathery roots that hang in the water. They are fast-growing, provide shelter and shade for fish, and are excellent for absorbing excess nutrients from the water. Red Root Floaters are easy to care for, thrive in low to moderate water flow, and require minimal CO2 and substrate.
Appearance:

Light:
Medium to high light levels are needed to bring out the red coloration of the leaves.

Prefers low to moderate water flow, as strong surface agitation can stress or damage the plant.

Not required for growth but can accelerate growth and enhance red coloration.
